Acrocephalus arundinaceus

Acrocephalus arundinaceus, commonly known as the Great Reed Warbler, is one of the largest warblers found in Croatia.

It thrives in dense reed beds, particularly around lakes and rivers, where its loud and distinctive song can be heard echoing across the water during the breeding season. With its robust body, strong beak, and striking plumage, the Great Reed Warbler is well adapted to life in the reeds, where it skillfully weaves its nest among the tall stems.

As wetlands in Croatia face challenges from human activity, it's essential to protect these habitats to ensure the survival of this impressive species.
