Hippolais pallida

Hippolais pallida also known as the Eastern Olivaceous Warbler, is a small migratory bird that breeds in southeastern Europe, including parts of Croatia, and winters in Africa.

This species is typically found in scrubby areas, woodland edges, and near water bodies where it can find plenty of insects to feed on. Its pale gray-brown plumage and slightly pointed bill allow it to blend into its surroundings, but its characteristic song—a series of repetitive, high-pitched notes—makes it easier to identify.

In Croatia, the Eastern Olivaceous Warbler plays an important role in the local ecosystem as an insect predator and is one of the many species that rely on the preservation of diverse habitats
