Hucho Hucho

Hucho hucho, also known as Danube salmon or huchen, is a large freshwater fish species native to Europe's Danube River and its tributaries, including numerous rivers in Croatia, including the Drava, Sava, and Mura rivers.

Hucho hucho is classified as an endangered species in Croatia due to habitat loss, overfishing, and other environmental stressors. The IUCN Red List classifies the species as fragile, and conservation efforts are underway to safeguard and restore its numbers.
