Certhia familiaris

The Certhia familiaris, or Common Treecreeper, is a small and elusive bird species that inhabits Croatia's forests and woodlands.

This bird is recognized by its distinctive mottled brown and white plumage, which provides excellent camouflage against tree bark, and its slender, curved bill used for extracting insects and spiders from crevices. The Common Treecreeper contributes to the health of forest ecosystems by controlling insect populations and promoting the growth of trees.

Conserving its habitat is essential for preserving Croatia's rich natural biodiversity.
