Phylloscopus inornatus
Phylloscopus inornatus, commonly known as the Yellow-browed Warbler, is a small passerine bird that occasionally appears in Croatia, especially during migration periods.
This species is distinguished by its olive-green upperparts, white underparts, and striking yellow supercilium (eyebrow stripe), which gives it its name. Although its natural breeding range is in Siberia, it is a frequent autumn migrant across Europe, including Croatia.
The Yellow-browed Warbler is insectivorous, feeding on small insects and spiders, and is often found in woodlands or shrubby areas during migration. Its delicate appearance and melodic calls make it a charming yet elusive visitor, contributing to the region's biodiversity.
